Membership

Members of the Intergovernmental Committee are the Ministers of Education of the countries indicated below. [Countries marked with an asterisk were elected to join the Committee during the Caucus of Ministers held in Paris on 28 October 1999.]

  • President: South Africa
  • Vice-Presidents: Algeria, Cameroon,* Guinea-Bissau, Libya,* Nigeria,* Rwanda, Uganda
  • Rapporteur: Madagascar

The next Ministers' Conference, perhaps, in 4-5 years time, would be expected to elect its own Bureau, and agree on its own follow-up mechanisms.
